10.40am Steven Turner, Barrister at Parklane Plowden will cover dealing with solicitor own/client costs disputes and charging shortfalls to clients.

11.10am Rob Stewart, Legal Director in the Commercial Dispute Resolution team at Clarion will talk about managing client care and client expectations on a fixed costs regime.

11.45am Dan Herman, Head of Personal Injury at Stewarts will share his thoughts on whether there could be another dramatic change in the discount rate.

3.05pm Chloe Fisher, Community Development Officer at Papyrus will share more about their work in suicide prevention. It’s recognised that individuals recovering from a significant injury can be vulnerable and more likely to suffer from suicidal thoughts. Papyrus aim to share more about their work, to make professionals aware of what support is available for those individuals.

3.50pm Tom Young, Deputy and Partner at Price Slater Gawne will be discussing the work that he and his colleague, Sam Firth are doing in relation to expert reports in respect of deputyship costs to try and recover more realistic costs for claimants.
