9.30am Daniel Lumb, Director, Solicitor and Panel Deputy and Hannah Rodgers, Solicitor and Mediator at Stonegate Legal, will explore some of the practical considerations for financial deputies when considering P’s care provision and the limitations upon the financial deputy’s authority in the context of the overlap between arranging care and paying for care following Re Acc & Others  and Calderdale MBC v AB & Ors .

12.15pm Hannah Newbery, Associate in our Employment team, will discuss wider employment law considerations related to vaccination of care workers and COVID-19.

1.45pm Daniel Thomas, Managing Director and Neurologic Music Therapist at Chroma, will be presenting on the clinical and cost effectiveness of neurologic music therapy when used as part of a COP-agreed MDT treatment plan with clients who are living with a brain injury, a neurodegenerative condition or the effects of a catastrophic injury.
2.30pm Russell Caller, Solicitor, professional Deputy and founder member of the PDF, alongside Holly Chantler, Partner and Head of the Private Client team at Morr & Co and Holly Mieville-Hawkins, Senior Associate and Head of the Mental Capacity team at Michelmores, in their capacity as part of the PDF, SFE and Law Society panels respectively, will take part in a Q&A. The Q&A will be hosted by Stephanie Kaye, Legal Director in the Costs and Litigation Funding team at Clarion, and will be on all recent updates and changes that deputies need to be aware of.
